According to local legend, this park was originally called "Lovers of Jesus Point," back in the era when Pacific Grove was a Methodist retreat camp. Since the late 1800s, the beach at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove has been a popular spot for boating and swimming, and over recent decades surfers have joined the mix. Lovers Point Park has above all become Pacific Grove's best-loved spot for picnics, plein air painting, and scenic photography. Because of its unique east-facing location, it is also one of the only spots on the West Coast where you can watch the sun rise over the water.
The serene resting spot known as Dad O'Rourke’s Bench is now a permanent testament to the man who made it his goal to share the location’s singular beauty with anyone who was willing.
Some of my favorite spots in San Francisco city. This is a video montage with motion stabilization and some beautiful music.
By December 1, 1870 the Point Reyes Lighthouse first shone and a
legacy of keepers kept the light on from a half an hour before
sunset to a half an hour after sunrise.
Most beautiful
Sunset I have ever seen.
Today, nature lovers flock to Crissy Marsh, a birdwatching hot-spot. Locals and visitors alike run, stroll, and cycle along the Bay Trail to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. And the former airplane hangars and warehouses are home to recreational uses from a rock climbing gym to a trampoline house. History buffs are served up a fascinating story from the past at the Military Intelligence Service Historic Learning Center.
Even the most jaded inner neighborhood residents can't deny the beauty of this place where green lawns meet the waters of the bay. Joggers and kites and city visitors drawn to the Golden Gate Bridge are always here. The Wave Organ, at the tip of the Yacht Club peninsula, is a unique functional art installment.
In one turn of the head, you can take in unbelievable miles of sunlit charm, up and down the coast, across to San Francisco and, on crystal-clear days, to the Mount Diablo summit.
Built in 1929 to create a protected cove where City residents could swim and recreate, the pier is now a threatened landmark in need of major repair. Although built strong, decades of standing against winter storms and pounding waves have significantly weakened this 1400-foot walkway
The Golden Gate Bridge is especially beautiful on a sunny day with no wind. In the morning, the east side will be nicely lit. Fog can make it nearly disappear.

As the favorite building at the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition, the Palace of Fine Arts was saved from the wrecking ball and has been a San Francisco landmark to love ever since.
The Golden Gate Bridge is an iconic structure connecting the city of San Francisco to Marin County, California. It spans almost two miles across the Golden Gate, the narrow strait where San Francisco Bay opens to meet the Pacific Ocean. The dream of connecting San Francisco to its northern neighbors became a reality when construction commenced in 1933. Given the chance for steady employment amid the Great Depression, construction crews braved treacherous conditions as the roadway and towers took shape over open water. The Golden Gate Bridge, opened to the public in 1937, has endured as a picture-perfect landmark and an engineering marvel.
